Steel Cut Oats- healthy recipe

This has become a breakfast staple in my house. (super healthy too!)


1/4 cup of McCann’s Irish Steel Cut Oats ( I get the kind that’s ready in 5 mins)

3/4 cup of So Delicious Coconut Milk

1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds

2 Tablespoons of UnSweetened Apple Sauce

a few walnuts, craisens, and blueberries

(sometimes brown sugar and butter- if I don’t mind the extra cals)


  • bring the coconut milk to a boil
  • stir in oats, apple sauce, chia seeds, (butter and sugar)
  • reduce heat and let simmer for 5-7 min, stirring frequently
  • top with craisens, blueberries, and nuts

SO filling and SO good for you!!

    I make steel-cut oats every morning with So Delicious coconut milk (yum!), chia seeds, fruit, and nuts. But I never have mixed it with applesauce. What an intriguing dea! Thanks so much for sharing!
